The collection has materials from the tenures of three directors for the Editorial Services Department: John L. Caylor, Walker L. Knight, and C. William Junker. There is a series for each director arranged by their chronological succession. Most of the collection is correspondence between John L. Caylor and Home Mission Board staffer and other denominational workers. Topics within the correspondence relate mainly to his work as editor of Home Missions and other missions materials. In addition, there are drafts of manuscripts that Caylor edited for publication. The series made up of materials from Knight includes mainly interviews conducted with various missionaries, and information related to missionary education and world missions conferences.
